What do You Call a Group of Tangles?

Group of Tangles = wreathes – means cover, surround, or encircle (something)
Group of Tanglers = Coiled – meaning in a ready state to tangle

A group of tangles could be called a batch, a bundle, or a troupe. Each of those words represent a grouping. To me when tangles rest creatively next to each other, a harmonious or even striking new effect is seen. Each group, just like each tangler’s Individualized tangle, is unique.

My thoughts: we all know that Zentangle is a composition of “Zen” and “Tangle”. And all our artworks are base on this backbone for creation, especially the spiritual level that Zentangle giving us is enormous. Therefore, I would definitely stay the word “Zen”.

And to keep things simple and somewhat related back to the core value of Zentangle, just simply apply 𝒁𝒆𝒏 + 𝑻𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒍𝒆 = 𝒁𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒍𝒆 & 𝒁𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒍𝒆𝒓𝒔.

I immediately thought: “A Joy of Tanglers” but I can’t really say I have much of a story other than a burst of the word joy. After which, I thought “A Compliment of Tangles” then immediately second guessed myself because that doesn’t seem magical enough given the small glimpses of your home you have shared. So I promptly decided that I changed my mind to “A Magic of Tangles.”

HARMONY of TANGLERS, for a group of tanglers – harmony in the sharing with people from different walks of life, coming together to produce a pleasing effect, uplifting with progression and growth, through a bond of Zentangle experience to create inner peace and zen – harmony. Or, a ZEN of Tanglers :)
POWER of TANGLES, for a group of tangles – inspired by the book Rick refers to, The Power Of Limits by Gyorgy Doczi. Power means to supply with energy and brings clarity and insight. Power is created when tangles are drawn together ‘one stroke at a time’.

I love the one suggested by “Jan” and her reason for her suggestion…”A ‘Spangle’ of Tanglers”. The meaning of ‘spangle’ really sums up what we do❣️👏👏👏

How about a Trove of Tangles (as in a treasure trove). I like Tribe as the descriptor for a group of Tanglers because of the connotation of belonging together via the birth of this Art form in our blood.

I created words using the names Maria, Rick, Bijou and Zentangle to form a Maribi of tangles and a Marizen of tanglers

A “choir” of tanglers because we’re always singing the praises of Zentangle. A “score” of tangles because the score is the music we are singing!

How about a “Curl” of Tanglers, envisioning a group all happily wound together

and a “Cornucopia” of Tangles, for the bounty of the numerous array of beautiful tangles.

A group of tangles is a Tangle Trove like a treasure trove. A group of tanglers is a Zenhaven because we create a haven when we come together and tangle.

A “Stroke” of tangles and a “Gratitude” of tanglers

A “hive” for a group of tanglers , bc of the swarm of ideas / collective potential executing among them….. group of tangles : a “beat” (creating the pulse of the work…like a good mixtape, or the aftermath of a great dj).

My previous post …. “tribe” bc when I find a group of tanglers, I find “my people” , we speak a universal language that surpasses all other barriers……a group of tangles : “a huddle” because that’s many marvelous entities (tangles) coming together to make something brilliant , without losing any of the amazing that each has on its own. ;) ….I’d also call a group of tangles possibly “a flow” or a “current” because it carries the work along into fruition.

My gut, of course, said “a group of tanglers? Duh, artistes, artists, game changers, trendsetters….” but, that’s not quite what you are going after I realize. ;) Prodigies seemed also too pretentious lol
