Welcome to Day 7 of the 12 Days of Zentangle!
Enjoy!
Alfie was so inspired by what Martha and Molly created yesterday that he found an old chipped plate, tangled the chip, and pasted one of Maria's tiles on it. He is quite pleased with his efforts.
On this seventh day of Zentangle, Rick is faced with a fracus as his printemps slowly melts from the rain of this year's avreal.

These are wonderful and helping to get us in the holiday mood! I may not be able to keep up, but have January to look forward to.

Printemps and Rain are very familiar tangles, however Fracas and Avreal I don’t think I have ever used. I love going through and watching the videos. Watching Rick do printemps in a slow methodical manner is in it self a meditation.

Oddly enough, what I’m struck by in this video has nothing to do with the lesson, but instead the union that is Rick and Maria. Listening to how the two of u work so well together, and the way your words bounce off of each other’s is so awesome. Not all couples get along so well, and even fewer can work together so well. It’s pretty incredible to me.

Spring rain abounds here,
A fracas of blooming buds
By ink on paper.
A collection of patterns surely needing haiku!

2 more tangles, which I did for the first time today! Why didn’t I draw “rain” more often?

Printemps is one of my favorite tangles and ends up somewhere in every piece I do. So thank you for starting with it today. I love following along with Rick and Maria every morning on my spinner.

I’m not managing to keep up with you, but oh how I love seeing the email every morning! I’ve been tangling on scraps to take notes, and soon I will have time to do the whole project!

I am aways in awe of Rick’s precise lines that look almost drafted. Maria, your backstories of the tangles are wonderful and engaging. A real set of drama-tangles today! Thank you so much.

I just got my project pack yesterday, but have been watching each video as they come out. I can’t wait to get started. These are a great way to expand our Tangle vocabulary!

Your posts arrive each day just as the sun sets, and I do so prefer to tangle in daylight. But each day I take a sneak peak and know that tomorrow I will settle down with your video and my pen and paper. Thank you for the Zentangle momentum you add to each day!

It’s Interesting to hear the story behind a tangle, that enrich our understanding and meainging on that tangle. Love it n hope I can share that with friends too. Thanks.

Rain is one of my favorite tangles.

I love the way Rain oozes into the Fracas pattern. I think the border tangle is Avreal??? Thanks for so many ideas, tips and techniques.
