We always say that the Zentangle Method attracts really awesome people. We have had the pleasure of working with wonderful Certified Zentangle Teachers (CZT) all over the world and we are excited to share these wonderful people with the entire Zentangle Community. Through our series, CZT Family Tree, we will introduce individual CZTs.
Today, we are excited to introduce Oswaldo Burbano Sandoval!
--- + ---
Name: Oswaldo Burbano Sandoval
CZT#:EU1 and 36
Hometown: Born in Palmira, Valle del Cauca COLOMBIA but national Spanish; lived in MADRID for 20 years now.
Favorite tangle: This is hard to say as every tangle has a place and a moment in my tiles, but I must say I love BETWEED. Maybe it’s all of those sort of “pockets”and folds we get at the end.
Favorite place to tangle: Well, independently from the place, I sit where I feel comfortable and relaxed. I usually find a sunny spot and let myself go with the patterns.
Favorite quote: “Beauty is where YOU find it”.
How I use the Zentangle Method in my life: Zentangle has become my habit to disconnect (even when I have a long list of to-do’s) and a colorful way to rethink about what is going on around me. As a CZT, it has given me chances to meet people from all over the world and feel their motivations and inspiration. In a nutshell, Zentangle is a powerful key to open doors.
If I’m not tangling, you will find me…: doing sport, teaching English or taking a walk in the mountains.
Mosaic Name: OsCZT36
Website/Blog: I use Facebook Os BurSan and Instagram @erix702000_czt to share my stuff and be inspired by others whose works happen to be full of drama.
There are many things I might say about Zentangle, but the most important for me was the way it revived and sort of resurrected my love for design, shapes, images and art. I graduated as a Graphic Designer when I was 28, and only worked for a couple of years but now that’s a knowledge I am using with gratitude every single day. However I feel fully “renewed”, completely awaken by Zentangle. I guess I must first thank the friend who talked to me about the many benefits of the method and my partner who gave me an “Introduction to Zentangle” course as a birthday present.
Teaching has also been part of my life and for about 30 years I have been devoted to supporting people and walking together towards exams, certifications and official diplomas. Thanks to this experience, I feel more comfortable sharing what I know, feeling better and brighter than ever helping people in a different way. THANK YOU ZENTANGLE FAMILY.
Thank you Oswaldo. So inspiring and beautiful art.
