Zentangle Project Pack No. 22 - The 12 Days of Zentangle 2023 - Day 05

The following text was translated by Rick from the tap tap tapping "voice" of Bijou.

Bijou writes:

On this fifth day, Rick chooses an unexpectedly simple string. I find it elegant, and, I predict that Rick will take us all on a wonderful ride. The whole gang is really starting to feel festive. We were grateful to have little music playing as we appreciated this canvas. Our dear friend Zander plays the 5 spring coil and Aphie brought his pewter violin,a gift from a dear CZT friend. We all sang along as we eagerly awaited the next lesson.

Nomi was so curious about this string, "I wouldn't know where to begin. I will be following along with this lesson for sure, but feeling a little nervous."

Marasu comforts her friend, "I'd love to follow along too. Maybe we can work on this tile together."

Welcome to Zentangle Project Pack No. 22 and the fifth day of the 2023 Twelve Days of Zentangle!

As so many of you tangle enthusiasts know ... The Zentangle Method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns that we call tangles. You create tangles with combinations of dots, lines, simple curves, S-curves, and orbs. There are a few tangles in the history of the Zentangle Method that are known more and used more often and manipulated more than others. Their forms are basic, resilient, familiar and they have the potential to be so much more in so many ways.

This project pack will take a deep dive into one tangle and all that it stands for. As usual, we are taking a very creative, outside the box approach to this fun theme.

Tangle along with Rick as he and Maria guide you through the 5th lesson in this series.

We are very excited about the content we have for this Project Pack, but we also realize that we have packed a lot in to the twelve days. So, we wanted you all to know that it is OK to take it all in at whatever pace you need to. If you have not already, take a look at Molly's most recent blog on tangling at your own pace.

  • I’m so grateful for the instructions at the beginning to go slowly, as I’m able. I celebrate being 12 minutes into Day 2 and knowing all the days will be there when I’m ready.
