Spanish Congress: Part 2

Spanish Congress: Part 2

In 2021, we introduced you to CZT sisters Maria Tovar and Mercedes Perez from Spain, who were teaching the Zentangle Method to nurses at the Autónoma University in Madrid. We recently asked Maria for an update on the work they are doing and there is much to share! In Part 1 of this series, we heard from Maria Tovar about the work they are doing. Today, we share three speeches given at the Zentangle Congress in Vitoria by the nurses they work with.

Enjoy!

  • This makes fascinating reading. Maria Tovar and Mercedes Perez are doing a great job spreading the Zentangle method among people who need it most. Teaching relaxation to somebody with an anxiety disorder is very difficult. You can’t relax because somebody tells you to. Tangling gives your mind something good to focus on, and it’s not just thinking, it’s doing. Very powerful.

  • I am very interested in reading all the speeches, but I think that there was a mix up. Ana’s speech is linked twice. Can the speech by Matilde Arlandis Casanova be uploaded? I would like to share all three speeches with a faculty member who is interested in exploring Zentangle through a psychology lens. Thanks for sharing this Spanish Congress with us. I would like to see more posts about the use of Zentangle in the health field and any evidence-based research testing its efficacy within various populations.
