Project Pack No. 07 - 12 Days of Zentangle: Day 07

Project Pack No. 07 - 12 Days of Zentangle: Day 07

Welcome to the seventh day of Project Pack No. 07.

It snowed beautiful tangles last night. Santa is unfazed as Angel watches it all unfold, one deliberate stroke at a time.

Today, Molly explores new tangle trails on a gray square Zentangle tile. As you follow along, we fully expect you'll soon discover trails only you can find.

Enjoy!
Now it’s Molly's turn to dazzle us with seeds
"But I've got so much to do!” She pleads
She shops, wraps and bakes
Somehow she still creates
A festive tile with fantastical beads.

Please leave your comments below. Each day we will pick commenter at random to send a Zentangle surprise to!

Yesterday's winner is Jonesy! Please send your snail mail address to info@zentangle.com!

  • Another beautiful tile and a fun tangle to practice.

  • Wow!

  • This one was a lot of fun. I like the way you don’t really know how your initial Bales-like grid will end up, or how filling certain spaces and leaving others open will change the finished piece.

  • Just did this tangle recently! This turns out so nice. :)

  • Each day I feel like THIS one is my favorite… and then there’s tomorrow’s. Can’t wait to put them all together, at the end, though I do not want this to end.

Really fabulous tile, the dimension and detail outstanding and this blue, white and gray combination is knockout, with gold cherries (peas?) on top!

  • Another video full of great tips and tricks to make my tiles really pop and come alive! That, combined with a new combination of fragments & reticula, makes this one of my new favourite videos!

Thank you for all the time and energy you all put into making these Project Pack video series happen!

  • Molly, this is fabulously interesting. The pods are delightful to create. With the shading, the 3D effect is outstanding. Wonderful inspiration! Not only are there rectangular areas in the curves, but triangles, too. Totally awesome. Thx for the video + inspiration.

  • Such a beautiful tile with so much dimension.

  • I don’t have the gray tiles, but I do have a gray sketchbook that’s just begging me to add this design. I always find it so interesting how, though I have never met any of you guys, I feel like U know you so well. I like listening to you all talking about the tangles as you go. Cool, right? ❤

  • My brother just bought me this project pack for me for combined Christmas and birthday present :) (I told him this was what I wanted and he handed me his credit card…)

  • I’ve not seen this tangle before! I am excited to try it. Thank you, Molly for doing this tangle today!

  • The gray tiles are lovely to work on. Amazing what can be done with shades of blue. Enjoying the 12 days this year very much. Each video shows something new to do to an old tangle or a better way of shading. Love it.

  • I can’t believe we are already half way through the 12 days. So fun!

  • I have been enjoying creating with the ‘12 Days…’. If I could be partial, I would say this one is my favourite so far. Relaxing (just what I needed today) and I am so pleased with the way it turned out. Thanks so much.

  • Molly so gently reminds us to look for those small, finishing details that add such a beautiful addition to the completed artwork. Thank you, Molly!

  • This is a bit hard with my low vision – but I will persevere! I’m loving the look of it already and just have done one “pod”. I like the idea of Bales being the pods then filling in with the “peas”. Very nice. Thanks Molly.

  • It’s such a peaceful time listening to Molly’s voice. And the results! Beautiful tile! Thanks Molly!

  • Lovin’ your shapes of Fragments to create this beautifully shaded tile. Thx. ~ Rose

  • Awesome. The technique used to create that 3D effect as always so magical. Thankyou Molly for your reminder to breathe I now hear your voice in my head whenever I tangle as so often I hold my breath in concentration :-)
