Project Pack No. 07 - 12 Days of Zentangle: Day 01

Welcome to the 12 Days of Zentangle!

It has become a Zentangle tradition for us to celebrate the holidays with a series we call The Twelve Days of Zentangle. For twelve consecutive days, we will lead you through creating a fun Zentangle project. The 2019 series comes to life in Project Pack No. 07

Project Pack No. 07 has all the tangling supplies you need to tangle along with us as we explore the world of light and shadow in our tangled works. In these 12 consecutive videos, you will learn fun ways to go beyond the ink and dive into creating dimension with graphite and chalk. We will explore some familiar tools and perhaps some that are new to you. As we create together, you will discover that like in life, Zentangle too is not just black and white … there are many shades of gray in between.

It has become a part of this annual tradition for us to add some fun and whimsy to our daily newsletters during out twelve days series. This year we were delightfully inspired at a recent gathering by some of our Irish friends and decided we would write some limericks to deliver each video.

  • 4 gray Bijou Tiles
  • Pigma Micron 01 - Blue
  • Pigma Micron PN - Blue Black
  • Gellyroll - Gold
  • Gellyroll 10 - White
  • Graphite Pencil
  • General’s White Charcoal Pencil
  • General’s Pastel Chalk Pencil - Light Blue
  • Tortillions
  • Piece of scrap paper
So begins our tangling tradition
Shades of gray and blues that glisten
Gather friends with cheer.
No partridges here.
Sit back, enjoy, this tangled mission.

  • Wow! This first project came out of my pens so easily and the final product is stunning! I have people at my office and on social media going nuts over it! I have mounted my Bijou tiles on an Apprentice tile from a prior PP so I can frame it. It is definitely worth a place on the wall!
