You may recall that our dear friend Bijou wrote 24 new Bijouisms for our 2025 Bijou Be Well series. We released a new Bijouism for 21 days straight in May, and our community loved them.
But wait... that means there were three new Bijouisms that were not released in May...
Today, we release the last one of those three!
Celebrate

Bijou's final wisdom for 2025 is simple, but not always easy to make space for... celebrate! For many of us, celebrating is an expectation multiple times a year... birthdays and holidays. And then there are personal milestones that feel worthy of a celebration... engagements, marriages, a promotion, a new job, buying a house, etc. And while all of these moments deserve the attention they pull, there are many "smaller" moments that deserve the same spirit... we are just conditioned to overlook them.
Bijou is here to remind us to celebrate the small things. Every win is a win! Imagine... you didn't burn the cookies, you celebrate! Your mooka didn't wilt, you celebrate! You didn't hesitate to ignore your string, you celebrate! You reorganized the drawer you have been ignoring, you celebrate! We have these moments every single day. And just because they happen more often, or because no one else is there to witness them, they are not less important. Life is more full when we pause, recognize all of the good, and celebrate it.
So, we have an exercise for you -
1. Trace your hand (left if you are right-handed) on some nice paper
2. Tangle around (or inside) it
3. Hang it on a wall at a comfortable height (easy to reach!)
4. High-five it or bump against it when you want to celebrate your own wins. We all deserve a high-five or a pat on the back, and this will enable you to do that for yourself!
Maria kicked this off for us...

If this feels silly, just watch a professional tennis match. Notice how many times they "fist bump" the air in celebration when the tennis ball lands in the court. They, too, are celebrating their "small" wins in the larger match.
Celebrate, celebrate, celebrate!
Post your hand to the Zentangle Mosaic App with the hashtag #Celebrate!
A perfect reminder to pat ourselves for everything we have achieved! And another pat to remind us to go on!

Of course, small victories are valuable!
Of course, we deserve to be rewarded for each of our small victories!
Every small step forward is a victory!
And our life is filled with so many steps!
Thank you, Maria!
Wise Maria!

Oh, Maria, THANK YOU for this precious idea! I just did my hand and posted it on the Mosaic app, and then a dear ZT Friend reminded me to do this with my dad’s hand the next time I visit him in FL! YES! I will definitely do this with him so I have it forever — and I may just give him my tangled hand or do another one for him. This is why I love Zentangle so much — brings such joy. Thank you and Happy New Year to all!

This will be better for me than trying to set resolutions that are forgotten or just don’t matter after a month or so!
