It all began in 2004 with a simple, iconic 3.5" white square tile, crafted on beautiful Tiepolo paper, simple and full of promise. Beautiful black ink on white tile, small enough to hold in the palm of your hand. The perfect canvas to begin a tangling journey, one stroke at a time.
As the journey of Zentangle, Inc. unfolded, so did the tile surfaces. Elegant black tiles made their debut in 2011, adding the twist of tangling white on black, allowing for both shadows and highlights. Zendalas arrived in 2012, inspiring flow and balance. Sizes vary now from our little Bijou, just 2” square, to the Opus tile, 10.5” square. Surfaces from 100% cotton paper to a translucent vellum surface. Each new shape and surface has sparked new techniques, new tools, and imaginative possibilities!
For this special time machine tile capsule, we pulled from the archives to include a nostalgic favorite, ATCs! As an extra treat, there are a few 3.5" square tiles with the signature watermark of Fabriano from Maria’s cherished stash. These rare tiles reflect her deep love for the rich history and unmistakable quality of Tiepolo paper.
Please note that this bundle has very limited quantities due to the limited amounts of some of the archived tiles.
