Zentangle Project Pack No. 16 - The 12 Days of Zentangle 2021 - Day 06

Zentangle Project Pack No. 16 - The 12 Days of Zentangle 2021 - Day 06

We got into an interesting conversation about creativity with our friends, Alfie, Nomi, and Marasu. We asked them what they loved most about creativity, they all agreed that it empowers them. They felt as though their Zentangle practice has given them strength and confidence to create more and perhaps explore something new. It has also given them a new perspective and sense of place in this world. Sometimes it just takes a moment of empowerment to see it that way.

Join us as Rick takes a playful approach on today’s lesson to create something precious, we can interact with as well as appreciate and have fun.

Welcome to the Zentangle Project Pack No. 16 and the sixth day of the 12 Days of Zentangle!

This Zentangle series offers us a moment to pause and reflect on the past year. 2021, like all years, has proven to be a time of growth. As each one of us continued with our journeys we persevered with strength, courage, resilience, and trust. In a year of rebuilding, we were given the opportunity to choose what we wanted to keep with us and what we wanted to leave behind. As the year unfolded, we hope you were able to lean on your Zentangle practice and focus on the beautiful things that came through. Together, in this series, we will in-crease our skills while navigating this part of our journey one stroke at a time. In this year-end series, we will be looking closely between the layers and folds of our Zentangle practice. As we score some new tools for our tangling toolbox, we will dig into some creative, tangled ways to celebrate and illuminate your Zentangle art.

We will be working with the materials in the Zentangle Project Pack No. 16, but we encourage you to follow along with whatever materials that you have.

  • Am I the only one who is so slow that I just picked up that MaRaSu is a tangle named after Maria’s 3 sisters???? A very nice touch to include!

  • The dominoes in the photo with Alfie, Nomi, and Marasu should have given us a clue to the dots on the corners! I appreciate the simplicity of this design and am ready to glue my tiles together. While looking for some beads to “rattle”, I came across some snow flake beads. . . . What if I make another one as an ornament with snow flake beads dangling from the points and bottom. Thanks for the inspiration for another interesting ornament!

  • Nice choice of tangles. Add one more tile and you create a cube in the center. The hidden message and sound maker are similar to creating a Temari (Ball) to gift, an old tradition.
