We always say that the Zentangle Method attracts really awesome people. We have had the pleasure of working with wonderful Certified Zentangle Teachers (CZT) all over the world and we are excited to share these wonderful people with the entire Zentangle Community. Through our series, CZT Family Tree, we will introduce individual CZTs.
Today, we are excited to introduce Gisèle Tchinda!

Name: Gisèle Tchinda
Hometown: Montpellier (France)
Favorite tangle: Poke leaf
Favorite place to tangle: My bedroom
How I use the Zentangle Method in my life: I use the Zentangle method to calm down, to create and receive peace in my life, to listen to myself and my intuition. It’s a way of reconnecting with myself on a daily basis.
My favorite story or memory about teaching the Zentangle Method is: I remember being invited by my daughter’s teacher a few years ago. He asked me if I could teach the method to that class of 30 children, including my daughter who was 8. I remember the light I could see in the childrens’ eyes when I said : “there is no mistake in Zentangle, it will be beautiful in any case”. I remember gaining their whole attention from that moment on, and their commitment and enthusiasm. It was really a magical experience, all of them were eager to participate and the mosaic was amazingly beautiful.
Through my experiences as a CZT, I have learned: I have learned to be kind to myself through my experiences as a CZT. The more I am kind to myself when I practice, the more I teach it in a very warm and relaxing way. It allows me to really embody the philosophy of this method.
If I’m not tangling, you will find me…: depressed
Et merci Anne pour ces mots !

Elle a une façon très douce d’enseigner et de plus elle est généreuse car elle fait souvent des vidéos gratuites qui doivent lui prendre du temps alors qu’elle a de nombreux élèves. Elle a du talent. Alors merci

Jiji it’s so heartwarming to see you pictured here. I’m sure you bring light and loveliness to all your students. Meeting you in Providence is one of my favorite Zentangle memories!
