12 Days of 3Zs

12 Days of 3Zs

This Friday, December 11th, we will resume our annual tradition: The 12 Days of Zentangle. This time of celebration is a great opportunity to share tangles, techniques and festive ideas with tanglers across this world. As we have done in recent years, we combine the 12 Days of Zentangle with a Zentangle Project Pack series. Coincidentally and appropriately, this year's 12 Days of Zentangle is also Zentangle Project Pack No. 12!

Each year we look forward to working with our good friend, Alfie, to spread a little joy and Zentangle magic during the holiday season.

As we eagerly wait for this year’s series, we thought it would be fun to look back on one of our past series... the 12 Days of 3Zs.

In 2016, we celebrated the new addition to our family of tiles, the three-sided 3Z tile. Each day we focused on a new tangle on the pre-string 3Z tiles, creating as many tiles as the number of the day we were on. It was a 3Z frenzy!

We invite you to look back with us by visiting the blog posts here

The 12 Days of 3Z did not have a corresponding Project Pack, but the materials we used were:

We can’t mention the 12 Days of 3Zs without mentioning Zentangle HQs musical debut..don’t worry.. we wont quit our day jobs…

We hope you enjoy this series and we can't wait to see you all on Friday for the 2020 12 Days of Zentangle!

  • Don’t know if I can share my Zentangles with you by attaching them here, but I’m going to try. Thank you so much for your help in learning the wonderful way to do what I’ve been doing for years! it thrills me to know that Sister Mary Monica, my first art teacher in the first grade decorated the blackboards with Zentangles! I loved them then and practiced all my life. You two just gave them a name and added some more.

    God 🙏 bless you.
