Project Pack No. 07 - 12 Days of Zentangle: Day 03

Project Pack No. 07 - 12 Days of Zentangle: Day 03

Welcome to the third day of Project Pack No. 07.

Word is out around our home that Molly and Martha are tangling on a gray Zendala tile today. So the Santas took this opportunity to show off their acrobatic skills with those Zendala tiles.

Angel (who recently arrived from Germany) joins in with melodies that all the animals effortlessly hear. You might also hear her songs during your quieter tangling moments.

Enjoy!

Something dingsplatty, the girls say with a smirk
Hollibaugh, jonqal, pokeleaf and purk
A fanciful star
That shines from afar
Get comfy … this one’s a lot of work!

  • Hello
So many tangles on one round tile! Awesome video. So appreciate the step-by-step/breakdowns of the tangles. Very interesting results with the tan tiles and blue pens. The charcoal hi lights are terrific! Looking forward to tomorrow

  • Had a lot of fun doing this one! Yes, it took some time but the meditation was worth it! I revisit lines all the time so it was nice hearing you two also redefine lines, as well! I shaded Hollibaugh’s negative space with the lovely blue pencil! I posted on the app this morning.

  • This was an amazing experience for me in seeing how the layering of shading can work. I’ve always just tried shading on my own. I’ve never had a chance to working with a video or person to see how it can be done. This will change how I work in the future! Thank you!

  • Molly and Martha, you make such a wonderful sister team! Love everything about this star! Love the blues and grays, the different ways you taught some of the tangles and above all else, how you created multiple layers and so much definition! Thank you for an awesome video,

  • I really enjoyed this video. I liked seeing new processes and techniques that I have not been officially exposed to. Most of them were things that I may have seen and experimented with, or not, without knowing how or why.

I think that perhaps even more, I enjoyed the interplay between Molly & Martha. It makes me miss my sister — although we could never work that closely together to accomplish a project, LOL!

  • I was so taken with the video that I rushed through my first attempt. Today I will redo it and remind myself that the process is the point! Great project. Love Molly and Martha’s sisterly vibe.

  • It’s a pleasure, not only to follow along with the tangling, but to hear your thoughts on individual tangles, how you approach them and your process in general. Once again I feel a familiar connection to tanglers many miles away!

  • Oh my this one was fun! I am going to do it at LEAST 4 times in order to get it right. I am newish and my lines are still not as good as they should be! :) Love this 12 days!

  • This awesome and ambitious tile holds so many beautiful layers, textures and dimensions! Loved doing it. Loved hearing Martha and Molly supporting and encouraging one another. Putting finishing touches on it today and cannot wait for the next video.

  • Even though tile three is an extremely time consuming one, i think is is well worth it. It gives me so much zen flow! You girls are amazing! I have the project order and until it arrives I’ve been making my tiles out of Southmore Gray Toned sketch paper which is working surprisingly well! But, i can hardly wait for my pack to arriveL. Martha and Molly you made this so much easier to Work. Beautiful tile! Carmen
