Project Pack .04 -- 12 Days of Zentangle - Day 4

Welcome to Day 4 of the 12 Days of Zentangle.
Enjoy!

Inspired by what Maria created yesterday, Alfie found his way to Maria's desk, put on some headphones and listened to Rick's flute music to get into the mood for today's tangling.

Today, on this fourth day of Zentangle, Maria wakes feeling umble and a bit static, but surprises herself to find the cure with noom amounts of mooka to relieve her molygon.

  • Mooka is hard for me. But I loved watching Maria’s take on it. I became much more confident!

    Thank you!

  • Now I’m happy to fill in each space in my spinner! What a lovely thing to do before going to bed! There are too many different patterns to do!

  • Love the look of umber but mine needs practice.

  • Another few tangles pushing me out of my comfort zone. Just loving this project.

    Thank you.

  • What helped me the most is watching the hand strokes. For example, Rick’s strokes are from top to bottom, where mine are all over the place. I need to practice a stroke that is comfortable to me so i can gain muscle memory. Thank you for actually drawing the tangles on camera.

  • Noom is really a challenge for me

  • Interesting to see mooka done a new-to-me way – I’m used to seeing it as a single-line tangle of nested shapes. Fascinating to pick up on new ideas.

  • Tangling together on the spinner has been the best part of the holidays! ❤️

  • Today I went to Marguerite Samama’s house. She had good glasses of wine and nice snacks…and so we tangled together on our spinners. What a wonderful time!!! Thank you so much for this opportunity!

  • Day Four is quite a challenge! The mooka is so creative! i think i got carried away practicing. I’m amazed at the shading done on patterns – makes them quite dramatic. thx for sharing. I am learning new things with each video.

  • I feel like I am learning so much from watching, listening, and absorbing all your hints, steps, and details! Thank you both so much!

  • Long day today…glad to end it with tangling! Molygon is always a challenge for me. I will need more than this section on the spinner to find an ease with it. I was glad to have the opportunity to work with Mooka—it is another on the list of tangles I do not gravitate towards, but would like to!

  • In addition to the tangling fun, I look forward to seeing Alfie and all the vignettes that greet us each day!

    Sue Bru on

  • Oh, yeah! I’m lovin’ tangling along with you and admiring the changes of my spinner segments. Oh what fun! Thank you Maria (and Rick)!

  • I loved this one the most so far.

  • Thank you for another enthralling episode – it’s quite amazing what difference it makes hearing you describe the key points with different tangles – my grasp of Umble & Mooka each took a different direction (literally!). Each day’s video is like a gift to be unwrapped in slow motion with each moment savoured……..& then you can repeat it all over again by just replaying the video & find another little gift (or two) tucked inside some of the wrapping.

  • I think I had to watch you tangle this wedge at least four times, Maria, and take a fortune in deep breaths before I could take on Umble and Noom and a “different” iteration of Mooka – a challenging day today, but welcome nonetheless! These Projects Packs have always stretched me in some unexpected ways. Many many thanks!

  • These look like they’ll be rather challenging. It’s going to take some pencil practice first. You do it so fast in the video—I’m amazed.

    Vickie Stamper on

  • Alright…loving the Rick & Maria ‘He said, she said" commentary! I forgot that ’Noom’ needs such a precise steady hand- a challenge but worth it once finished. I’d like to explore that more.

    Heather Toswell on

  • Fun day 4 tangles! I’m glad for the opportunity to practice Umbel again—always a challenge, but I had the Mosaic app handy and was able to look up the step out and it helped to guide me along….The spinner is looking quite spiffy!!
